April Melchior is a Philadelphia-based artist who received her Bachelor of Fine Arts, focusing on Illustration, in 2012. Following graduation, April explored a variety of creative endeavors, including home decor and graphic arts. In 2018, she rediscovered her passion for fine art and began painting and sculpting under the alias of Albino Jackrabbit.
Her work consists of gouache paintings and polymer clay mixed media sculptures, which she displays in vintage frames. Color-rich and highly intricate details are hallmarks of her handmade works. Through fable-like depictions of animals and nature, each piece challenges our defiant resistance to acknowledge death.
