Michael Hutter is an internationally known surreal and visionary artist residing in Cologne, Germany. His works consist of extremely detailed oils and watercolors depicting sinning beings in sorts of mystical middle-aged-looking worlds. A fantastic fable throughout the darkest but fascinating side of a society devoured by its religious fears.
Hutter is a Cologne based painter, graphic artist and writer. From 1983 to 1986 he studied free painting in the class of Prof. Karl Marx at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences. He has since then lively exhibition activity in Germany and abroad. In the year 2002, his self-illustrated story cycle Melchior Grün; Fünf Moritaten was published by Luftschiff Verlag. His story cycle, The Kranzedan Tales was published by Centipede Press.
