My name is Ori and I am a Photographer and Visual Artist based in Los-Angeles, CA.
I was born and raised in sunny Tel-Aviv, Israel - where I first discovered my love for photography, at the young age of six. I used to take disposable cameras with me to school and take pretty quirky pictures of my friends, of trees and of my batman action figures.
While photography as always been one of my biggest passions, I actually grew up wanting to be a rock musician (I really LOVE rock music - which has always been a big influence in my work). after completing my studies at I.E.D in Milan, Italy. I relocated to London, U.K. there by complete chance, I stumbled upon an internship at Wonderland Magazine - where I was introduced to the world of fashion. later i got a position as an assistant to the menswear editor at I-D Magazine - where I was truly able to develop my visual sense and gain experience working with some of the most prolific photographers, designers and stylists of the time.
At age 25, me and a friend launched our own publication QWHO - A quarterly Menswear, Art and Culture publication based out of colorful Shoreditch, London. My main focus was to provide a platform for upcoming artist, designers and photographers alongside more established names in fashion. acting as creative and image director I forged unique collaborations with brands such as Moschino, Acne, Henrik Vibskov & Comme Des Garcons - creating advertorial content that focused on digital formats.
Needing a change in scenery, I moved to L.A. , where I became part of cool noise rock band and through music, I rediscovered my love and passion for photography.
My biggest source of inspiration are the people I meet, their energy, personality and point of view. I create images that are punky, energetic, goofy, queer and sexy.
