Parallel Structures
New Works by Max Seckel and PITR
Opening Reception: Friday, September 12th | 7–10PM
Mortal Machine Gallery | 940 Royal Street, New Orleans
Mortal Machine is proud to present Parallel Structures, a two-person exhibition featuring new works by Max Seckel and PITR.
This exhibition explores the way cities breathe, fracture, and reassemble themselves. Through different approaches, both artists expose the hidden geometries of urban life, revealing structures that are at once familiar and uncanny.
Max Seckel brings his meticulous eye to New Orleans spaces, creating layered compositions that examine rhythm, repetition, and the shifting balance between order and chaos. His work resonates like a visual blueprint of memory.
PITR transforms the cityscape into surreal narratives, pulling from lived experience, pop iconography, and ephemeral street culture. His paintings blur the lines between public signage, abandoned storefronts, graffiti and imagined realities.
Together, their works converge in Parallel Structures, a dialogue about architecture, decay, and the beauty found in overlooked corners of our shared environments.
Join us for the opening reception on Friday, September 12th, from 7–10PM at Mortal Machine Gallery in the French Quarter. Works will also be viewable and available online at mortalmachinenola.com.
