Melissa Monroe's artwork serves as a personal display of vulnerable emotions. Through her figures and forms, she presents them authentically, allowing them to stand in their true form for observation. For viewers, her art acts as a mirror for self-reflection. Her work is timeless, placing viewers in spaces that evoke memories of the unknown and the yet-to-be, functioning as puzzles that lead to future possibilities.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Monroe expresses her visions through textiles, sculpture, and acrylic paintings. Self-taught and a full-time artist for the past nine years, she explores her spiritual practice through mask making, which is further explored through wearing and performing in the masks. Her video installations, featuring herself and the masks, are projected during live music performances.
